INFECTED is a pre-rendered environment made with the Arnold Engine. This environment is based on concepts of visceral environments by Isaac Hannaford for the video game Halo 3. The concept of the Flood species served as reference for the basic structure and organic characteristics.

The colours and lighting represent a desire to avoid entering into the characteristics of a horrifying dark atmosphere of the Flood. Therefore, the lights and textures focus on blue and red. The idea was to use complementary colours that look vibrant together, in order to immerse the viewer into a contrasting and vivid environment.

This work demonstrates my skills in modelling, texturing, sculpting and rendering. The principal goal was to level up my sculpting and texturing ability for organic surfaces. The digital compositing for the final sequence made by Vincent Tinguely.

INFECTED expresses my desire to deepen my experience in rendering environments for cinematics, cutscene etc. for both movies and video games.
